Seven additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Jamaica, bringing the total to 751.
\nOn Wednesday, the following people died:<\/p>\n
* A 67-year-old St James lady
\n* A Westmoreland woman in her eighties
\n* A 65-year-old Kingston and St Andrews resident
\n* A 73-year-old Kingston and St Andrews resident
\n* A 64-year-old Kingston and St Andrews man
\n* A 69-year-old St Catherine man
\n* A 60-year-old St Mary’s man<\/p>\n
Two more deaths are being investigated, bringing the total to 122.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 165 additional cases were added, ranging in age from nine days to 94 years, bringing the overall number of cases to 44,502, with 23,259 active.<\/p>\n
There are 83 boys and 82 girls among the new cases.<\/p>\n
With 53 new instances, Kingston and St Andrew are the most common, followed by St Catherine with 34 and St James with 15.<\/p>\n
There were a total of 1,624 tests performed.<\/p>\n
The country’s optimism level is at 15.7 percent.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 100 additional recoveries were made, bringing the total to 20,170.<\/p>\n
There are 269 people in the hospital, 20 of who are moderately unwell and 26 of whom are seriously ill.<\/p>\n
