Two women who strained to visit Gregory Town, Eleuthera, on forged COVID\u00ad19 tests were each penalized $5,000 or
\nthree months\u2019 term on Friday. <\/p>\n
Miquel Sturrup, 28, of Eleuthera, and Anthonique Mackey, 31, of All Saints Way, were both prevented at Lynden Pindling International Airport on April 16, after they obtainable fake negative COVID\u00ad19 test results that appeared to be delivered by Doctors Hospital. <\/p>\n
They both begged shamefaced to control of a forged
\ndocument and saying a forged document at their impeachment before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson\u00adPratt.<\/p>\n
However, inquiries exposed that neither woman had ever visited Doctors Hospital. Despite this, Sturrup alleged that she had taken a COVID\u00ad19 test at the hospital\u2019s Collins Street location. Meanwhile, her co\u00addefendant self\u00adconfessed that she had paid a lady $70 for the bogus test. En passant sentence, Ferguson\u00adPratt said there was no justified reason for his or her actions. <\/p>\n
Each woman paid half their fine on Friday to avoid beginning their three\u00admonth prison sentence.<\/p>\n
They have until June 1 to pay the opposite $2,500. Sergeant 3605 Samantha Miah prosecuted. The criminals didn’t
