Seven additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Jamaica, bringing the total to 751.
On Wednesday, the following people died:
* A 67-year-old St James lady
* A Westmoreland woman in her eighties
* A 65-year-old Kingston and St Andrews resident
* A 73-year-old Kingston and St Andrews resident
* A 64-year-old Kingston and St Andrews man
* A 69-year-old St Catherine man
* A 60-year-old St Mary’s man
Two more deaths are being investigated, bringing the total to 122.
Meanwhile, 165 additional cases were added, ranging in age from nine days to 94 years, bringing the overall number of cases to 44,502, with 23,259 active.
There are 83 boys and 82 girls among the new cases.
With 53 new instances, Kingston and St Andrew are the most common, followed by St Catherine with 34 and St James with 15.
There were a total of 1,624 tests performed.
The country’s optimism level is at 15.7 percent.
Meanwhile, 100 additional recoveries were made, bringing the total to 20,170.
There are 269 people in the hospital, 20 of who are moderately unwell and 26 of whom are seriously ill.
Seventeen people are quarantined by the authorities, while 31,304 people are at home.
