Cuba confirms 1,185 New Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths

On Sunday, Cuban health officials verified 1,185 Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours owing to the disease’s consequences.

Since March 2020, Cuba has accumulated 101,503 patients with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

Dr. Francisco Duran, the national head of epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), said in his daily press conference on television that 591 persons have died of Covid-19 in Cuba thus far.

According to him, there are 23,264 patients in hospitals across the country, with 3,317 suspected cases, 14,185 under epidemiological surveillance, and 5,761 active patients.

On Saturday, all Cuban microbiology labs performed 22,237 PCR tests, bringing the total number of such tests completed in the country to 3,517,959.
