According to the White House, the Biden government will transfer its full stock of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine abroad once the remedy passes a government safety assessment, since the United States stays well ahead of the rest of the planet in vaccinations.
According to White House press official Jen Psaki, the government expects to export around 60 million dosages of AstraZeneca vaccines that are being stored in the United States while pending FDA clearance in the next femonths.
It remained unclear which nations would be chosen for AstraZeneca allocations after the FDA gave the go-ahead.
Neighboring Canada and Mexico have requested for the dosages and are expected to be high on Washington’s priority list.
Psaki stated that the government can manage to deliver the AstraZeneca injections since the United States already has sufficient vaccine in stock to immunize the whole American public with Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
“We do not have to employ AstraZeneca in our struggle against COVID,” she stated.
The AstraZeneca is already being used in vaccination programs for other regions around the globe, however the pharma company went into some production challenges earlier this year after receiving reports that their medication produced an uncommon blood clot disease in certain users.

According to a White House statement, Biden stated during the conversation that the United States will supply India with “a spectrum of immediate assistance, notably oxygen-related equipment, vaccine elements, and therapeutics.”
